Logistics Technician

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will be responsible for performing cycle audits, coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries, managing security escorts for third-party vendors, and documenting all delivery activities. This role offers the opportunity to enhance your understanding of inventory management principles, warranty process management, and data-bearing device destruction, while advancing your career within Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division. Key responsibilities include: - Executing assigned tasks and escalating issues during high-volume periods or critical situations. - Coordinating with suppliers to process warranty claims and manage failed vendor hardware devices, including information processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices, adhering to all Service Level Agreements (SLAs). - Applying process knowledge and sound judgment to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. - Maintaining accurate logical and physical inventory tracking within various inventory management systems. - Reconciling and reporting inventory discrepancies. - Performing destruction of data-bearing devices (DBD) in compliance with all SLAs and Microsoft policies. - Notifying management of stock shortages and escalating any identified issues. - Adhering to all security and data management policies. - Contributing to a positive and inclusive company culture.
